PIM offers a variety of councils and committees that provide members with opportunities to learn and grow.

  • Financial Executives
    This council of professionals meets to discuss current issues relative to financial developments in the industry. Experts address the group on topics like taxes, insurance, PIA Ratio Studies, costing systems and other financial management issues.

  • Human Resources
    This council deals with human resource, FMLA, employee benefits, personnel and training issues specific to the print communications industry. It is responsible for updating the PIM biannual Wage and Benefit report.

  • Small Business Owners and Managers Council
    This group addresses the concerns of owners and managers of small to medium-size companies who typically juggle responsibilities in many areas and want to discuss with their peers how to do their jobs more efficiently.
  • Education Scholarship
    This committee selects the recipients of the PIM Education Foundation scholarships each year and determines fundraising strategies.
  • Union Employers
    This committee provides a full range of services and programs directly to member companies that have union agreements, or through Graphic Arts Employers of America (GAE), in such areas as industrial relations, labor relations, human resource management and compliance with governmental laws and regulations. Its goals are to promote sound labor industrial relations among employers who have contract obligations with unions and to provide education and information on bargaining strategies, grievances and arbitration, and wage and contract settlements.
